🌿 Cable car over the rainforest → market shopping in Kuranda village → scenic train back down. 6 hours of fun!
7 Jul is a Tuesday. Kuranda markets only open Wed–Sun — so they might be closed that day. Don't get your hopes up.
Jul–Nov 2026 the Smithfield Line is closed for upgrades. Skyrail runs a loop between Kuranda and Barron Falls only. At Barron Falls you can do the boardwalks and The Edge Lookout.

🌅 Special early sunrise session — get the Cairns Aquarium almost to yourselves before the crowds. The whole family gets in! Dad, Mum and Pin-yu were added to the booking on 7 Jun.
16,000+ reef fish, river fish and live corals — basically a mini Great Barrier Reef indoors. Private guided tour before the aquarium opens.
Fun fact: the "sunrise" is artificial — they fake it inside the building, so rainy days still work!

🌊 Bus tour of Cannonvale Beach and Shute Harbour lookouts, then drop-off at Airlie market and the lagoon pool. After it ends at 13:00 you can wander the town more!
You have to make your own way back to the pier after the tour ends. Options: bus back, shuttle bus (small fee), or walk.
Some coaches don't have seat belts. If they do, by law you must wear one.
Order of sights may be reversed. Markets may already be closed for afternoon departures.
